Gender, Parenting, and Pedophiles

logo_5.jpg

So, this is the third part of our April 17th recording session. After too many drinks and getting tired, we finally started having some slightly deeper conversations.  We went all over the place, from sex and gender to pedophilia and punishment to parenting.  It was a great conversation and I hope you enjoy listening to it. This is episode #29 recorded on April 17th, 2015. logo_5

Finally that’s the end of this recording session. I really wanted to get all the parts of it out because I thought we really covered a lot of good ground.  This, as a whole recording session  was one of my favorites so far.

I’ve got a couple podcast shoutouts  for this episode because of the types of topics we covered. I talked early in this episode about Dr. Darrel Ray and his book Sex and God, which is available through audibletrial.com/brainstorm, and Dr. Ray has a podcast called secular sexuality with lots of good information and some very open discussions about sex. Another really good podcast for issues around gender, trans issues and pretty much any lgbt issue is the Gaytheist Manifesto. Host Callie is a really amazing person and has a great perspective that I agree with a lot of the time. I’ve learned a lot from her show and from following her on facebook. Lastly, I just want to mention a specific episode of Skeptoid. Everyone who listens to us probably already listens to skeptoid but episode #463 where the guest host; Alison Hudson busts a bunch of myths about transgender people.
